I am explaining the manual register method because most of the users experience that patch and keygen contain viruses.
This method works well to obtain lifetime usage of IDM .

Step 1: Download the IDM trial/free version or If you already have IDM installed Update it by going to Help----->check for Updates.

MAKE SURE TURNOFF YOUR ANTIVIRUS AND INTERNET CONNECTION(IF U EXPERIENCE ANY ERRORS)

Step 2: Now Go to START----->search bar(type notepad)----->right click it(click on runas administrator).

Step 3: Now navigate through  MY COMPUTER--->OS(C:)---->WINDOWS--->SYSTEM32----->DRIVERS----->ETC.

Step4:In etc folder click on hosts---->open---->select notepad to open the file.

HOW TO HIDE A LOCAL DISK USING COMMAND PROMPT ?

Hi.. 

Now we going to Hide a Local Disk. How...?

..Follow the Following Steps..

Step 1 : Click on Start > Run.
Step 2 : In Run Box type cmd and hit Enter. now Command prompt windows will appear.
Step 3 : In Command Prompt, type diskpart and hit Enter.
Step 4 : Then type list volume and hit Enter.

Now it will display the list of all your computer drives details.

Step 5 : Then type the Drive Letter which you want to hide.

(Example : If you want to hide Volume E, type select Volume E and hit Enter.

Now the message will appear like Volume 4 is the Selected Volume.

Step 6 : After that, type remove letter E and hit Enter.

That's all, you have Done.

Now Restart your Computer once.

NoW

  .YOUR SELECTED LOCAL DISK IS HIDE.
